About Houston Iftar
Houston Iftar is organized by the Muslim Sister Cities of Houston, namely Abu Dhabi, Baku, Basrah, Istanbul, and Karachi, along with the Islamic Society of Greater Houston and over 40 collaborating community organizations.
The event features the Honorable Mayor of Houston as the keynote speaker, alongside Congressmen, diplomats from multiple nations, City Council members, and representatives from Sister Cities of Houston. It is a remarkable opportunity to show solidarity and unity among diverse communities.
This landmark gathering has grown to become the largest Iftar dinner in the United States, a testament to Houston's incredible diversity and the shared human values of respect, dignity, and community that bind all citizens together.
